Maj. General (Retd) Dr. Farhan Akhtar, HI(M), Chairman LGES, visited GAB on 1st October 2021. He visited classrooms and observed the teaching practices.He appreciated teaching standards being maintained at school. He also guided the teachers to conduct student centered classesand relate the topic/concept with everyday life experiences for understanding of students. Students felt elated to see their Chairman in the classes.
Mrs. Tehmina Jafri , Regional Director APSACS Lahore, along with her team visited the school on 2nd October 2021. Principal, Section Heads and faculty members warmly welcomed the team. She visited different classes and evaluated the teaching standards at school. Later, Evaluators shared their observations and recommendations with the Principal and Section Heads in an effective and concluding session.
To acknowledge and recognize the performance and achievement of the teachers, LGES held a splendid and bewitching Annual Teachers' Award Ceremony for the Session 2019-21 on 23rd December 2021. Teachers from GAB also participated in stage performance and amused the audience with their humorous and vibrant skit. Our following teachers were awarded with the incentive awards for their Board Results and best teaching practices ; Mr. Faiz Malik, Mr. Masood ul Hassan, Mr. Ali Hassan, Ms.Khalida Naeem, Ms.Shazia Munir, Ms.Fazeelat Nawaz, Ms, Lubha Shahzadi, Ms Nadia Zia, Ms Fareeha Naqvi, Ms Mahjabeen Tariq, Ms Mahrukh, Ms Amna Pervaiz, Ms. Maryam and Ms. Masooma Bashir.
Sustainability is the balance between environment and ethics. Sarsabz-o-Shadab and Tiny Forest Campaigns were initiated in August 2021 to save the environment through plantation. The campaign was launched by members of Nature club. The campaign received warm response from all students and many avid students planted saplings in school and in their vicinities.
"Freedom is never given, it is won." The school celebrated Independence Week from 9th to 14th August 2021 with full zeal and zest to express love for our dear homeland. Our fervent and ardent students participated in different activities like speeches, skits, special presentations in morning assembly and national songs competition. A dignified and inspirational Flag Hoisting Ceremony was also held on 14th August 2021 in school. Prizes were distributed among best performers in these activities.
On the Holy occasion of Rabi-ul-Awal, Naat and Qirat Competition was held on 18th Oct, 2021. Students enthusiastically participated in the competition. It was a memorable event for GAB as our brilliant student, Ahmad Taha class 9th got 1st position in Qiraat and Affan Azeem class 10th got 1st position in Naat Competition.In Middle School Muhammad Dawood class 8 got first position in Qiraat while Muhammad Jasim class 7 got first Position in Naat Competition.
"Responsibility of learning belongs to the students regardless of age" To develop leadership skills and democrac spirit among the students, a body of student council is elected, every year at the start of new academic session. The nominated candidates run an elecon campaign enthusiascally along with their supporters before elecons. All students from middle and senior wings cast their votes. As a tradition, this time again the nominated candidates conducted an election campaign enthusiastically before the elections. All students from Middle and Senior Schools cast their votes and elected their desired Head Boy for the session 2021-22.
